Apply Direct Pressure

TXA Criteria Checklist  Adult > 15 years old  Hemorrhagic shock from multisystem trauma  Trauma less than 1 hour old  Sustained tachycardia >110bpm  Minimum of 15 minute transport  No known hypersensitivity to TXA

Direct Pressure fails, or insufficient resources to hold direct pressure

Apply Commercial Tourniquet

Adult IV/IO

Pain Management Protocol

Tranexamic Acid (TXA) 1 gram mixed in 50mL IV bag connected to 10gtts/mL administration set, and administered over 10 minutes (1 drop per second)
