House Process for Vest Extrication – for consistency please do not deviate.

Two straps – forehead and chin

Head assembly covering at least 50% of ear and not touching top of shoulder (unless patient is super-tall)

Chest assembly is midline and tight

Device is noticeably high in the armpits

Groin straps are not crossed

Please note the following: - Asking males “what side they are dressed on?” is not a thing. Don’t demand it in station. - The only required strap order is TORSO > LEGS > HEAD as identified in the manufacturer’s guidelines. Please do not test for more complex “My Baby Looks Hot Tonight”-type sayings.

- Insure neurovascular status is assessed before and after the splint
